As
a visible sign of that progress, U.S. Army soldier
Andrés Camilo was joined by his underwear
model and vlogger boyfriend, Max Emerson,
at the Army prom this weekend.
Emerson shared the photo on Instagram on Sunday and tagged it to West Point, the U.S. military academy in New York.
In the image, the couple reenact the classic “prom pose,” with Camilo standing behind Emerson, wrapping his arms around his waist.
The caption reads: “Hello from gay army prom.”
The photo has already received more than 34K likes and hundreds of comments, such as “Such a stunning couple,” ‘You two are so gorgeous together,” and “Any kind of love is beautiful.”
The couple first went public in a Youtube video back in June when Emerson introduced fans to Camilo, a New York City-based consultant and soldier in the National Guard.
“I guess, with this video, I’m coming out to the military,” Camilo said, before kissing Emerson in the YouTube video called “Meet My Boyfriend!”.
